Zoey Jones

Since the age of 2, her first words were in song and her first steps in dance. This is Zoey (Callandria) Jones. Born in Lancaster, UK in 1983, known for her all round talents in dance, singing, acting, songwriting, modeling and now an aspiring DJ.  Zoey has spent her whole life surrounded by the arts and performing. Now taking her grace and beauty in performance, Zoey is influencing countries all over the world.. 

Starting out as a Ballerina, Zoey trained with a B.B.O scholarship and at The National Youth Ballet with Choreographer Wayne Sleep and Patron Darcy Bussle and Joana Lumley and performed at venues such as The Royal Opera House, The Royal Albert Hall, Dury Lane Coliseum, Peacock Theatre for the likes of HRH Princess Anne. At the age of 16, Zoey won a full scholarship to further her career in Performing Arts at The Bird College Of Performing Arts in London. She performed at 

Zoeys first dancing job was taken in Portugal, which she then called home for the next 6 years. After two years performing with her dance company as principle dancer, she then got signed up with a top modelling agency and decided to take a break from dancing and focus on pushing her modelling career. She appeared in many TV commercials, Editorial shoots, and fashion shows inc Portugal and Paris fashion week. 

Once returning back to London, Zoey (known as Callandria back then) became a finalist in the first ever POP IDOL in 2002 in London, the success followed her for years resulting in many collaborations with famous famous producers and DJs and tours. In her first UK tour, Zoey supported artists such as 'SONIQUE' and 'BLUE' and Atomic Kitten. And she joined MTV Tours, KISS FM Tours and performed at G.A.Y London Astoria and many more top venues. Zoey also started Co-writing with many international DJ/Producers inc Brazilian Model/DJ artist JESUS LUZ (Madonna boyfriend at the time). DJ MASTIKSOUL with song 'RUN FOR COVER' which was a global hit and reaching number 41 in the Spanish charts and also the song 'TAKING ME HIGH' remixed by the BINGO PLAYERS which went viral and has reached over half a million views on YouTube. Also working with Portuguese DJ 'Phil Kay' where they had several International Hits together including hit songs 'My Love Is Real' and 'Forever Young'. And more recently working with international DJs Rui Da Silva and also Jerry Ropero.



 

Zoey, held her solo debut performance for her album 'Don't Think' at Internationally renowned Pop/Rock festival ROCK IN RIO in Lisbon, where most of the most prestigous of musicians here to date have performed. Zoey performed on the same days bill as artists 'Elton John', 'Leona Lewis' and '2 Many DJs'.

People have compaired Zoeys sensual, "soothing" soft voice to the likes of artists Julie London, Diana Krall and Karen Carpenter. Her influences in Music and artists ontop of the the obvious mentioned above include Jill Scott, Gaelle, Aya, Sade, Clara Hill, Emily King, Eryka Badu, Beady Belle, Gotan Project, Daft Punk. All within the Down tempo, smooth, Soulful, Jazzy, electronic range..

In 2010 got invited to perform at a Jazz club in Cambodia named Studio 182 then. She jumped at the chance and has been flying back and forth to Asia since. Since then her achievements have included singing at product launches, fashion shows and music festivals inc Hermes, Max mara, Johnnie Walker Blue, Singapore International Jazz festival, Penang Island Jazz festival and events F1 Singapore Grand Prix. She has also sung at a number of  5 star luxury hotels in the SE Asia Region for brands inc Sofitel, Grand Hyatt, Shangri-La and Ritz Carlton and Lebua State Tower and is currently performing with a residencies at weekends at the Blu Bar in Hong Kong. 

As a DJ Zoey has toured in London, Portugal Hong Kong, Phuket, Bangkok and Cambodia at venues inc Dirty Martini (UK), Armani Prive (HK), Dream Beach Club (HKT), CHI Club (BKK) and Hotel Muse (BKK).

Since touring and travelling began for the talented star, her performances and high end events have lead her to entertaining and mingling with A-listers from all over the world. Inc Steven Tyler, Cee Lo Green, Rob Schneider, and sang 'Under The Boardwalk' to The Drifters. She has performed in front of Royalty and artists including Prince William, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Sting, the family of Picasso, Stanely Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Wayne Sleep, Actors Omar Sharif and the Royal Family of Cambodia and many more..
